Saint Dinette - January 9, 2016
(I’m less than 10 days in the past now, and I didn’t eat out that much since this, it’s getting close to caught up. I’m ecstatic.)
I’ve been meaning to check out Saint Dinette’s brunch for a while, but for whatever reason never made it over there, so when Shawn and a couple of the “Nordeaters” suggested we go on a Saturday at a time after I’d be done volunteering, I was all over that.
You’ll note that most of the items shown in the above photo are not breakfast-y. Most understandably went for the cheeseburger. Yes it’s that good. Shawn did put an egg on his so he gets a pass.
Biscuits & Gravy with andouille, soft-cooked egg, and green onion: Probably my favorite biscuits and gravy in town now, and I try them everywhere that has them. I could go with some more visible meat or the option to add more in some form, but the flavors are so good.
Potato Latkes: as potatoes go, these are pretty good. Crunchy around the edges with a just pliable center, the apple sauce played well against the salt.
